Kishin SHINOYAMA, photographer. "Pureiboi zokan: Shinoyama Kishin no sekai" - "The World of Shinoyama Kishin.” Japan: Shueisha, 1970, First Edition, PB, no dj as issued, 26 cm x 21 cm, 112 pp, single- and double-page color & b/w photos.

Shinoyama published two books in 1970 - his famous “Portfolio Nude” and this book. Commonly known as “Make Love” because of the only English words on the cover, this book collects excerpts from three of Shinoyama's earliest exhibitions: 1) "Hadaka no 17 nin" - 17 Nude Women"; 2) "Make Love, Cariforunia no taiyo" - "Make Love, California Sun"; and 3) "Tabu, Chukinto no Onnatachi" - "Taboo, Middle Eastern Women." The first section is photos of 17 Nude Japanese and half-Japanese Women. "Make Love" focuses on a hippie nudist couple in California. "Taboo" collects photos of women in Middle Eastern countries. The numerous ads for Minolta that a scattered throughout the book are almost an additional bonus fourth chapter. These feature two nude women models in various compositions. From the same year as Shinoyama's celebrated "Portfolio Nude" and "28 Girls" but this is book is probably scarcer than both of those. Biography and short essay in English and Japanese.

Condition: Near Excellent - unusually clean and sturdy with minimal handling signs.
